Course Title: Food Hygiene
Course length – 3 hours
Maximum number to attend - 15
This course is aimed at all staff in health and social care.
At the end of the training session, there is a short written assessment to evidence the learning of the attendees.

Hygiene | · Be able to maintain hygiene when handling food and drink to include: o Hand hygiene o Effective handwashing o Surface and utensil cleaning |
Safety | · Describe practices to control hazards when preparing and serving food and drink to include: o Food preparation o Clearing away of food and drink o Disposal of food waste o Cleaning and storage of utensils and equipment |
Storage of Food and Drink | · Describe practices to control food safety hazards when storing different types of food and drink. |
