Learning Aims and Outcomes

Course Title:  Epilepsy Awareness, Buccal Midazolam, Rectal Diazepam

Course length – 6 hours full course, 3 hour refresher course

Maximum number to attend – 12

This course is designed for all staff who are involved in the care and wellbeing of individuals with epilepsy.The course aims to provide an understanding of the causes and triggers of seizures, identifying seizure activity and appropriate action in the event of a seizure including administration of emergency rescue medication.
