Anaphylaxis with Adrenaline Auto Injector

2-3 hours

Maximum Number of Attendees:

Course Description:

Many people have allergies, and these can range from mild symptoms to anaphylaxis, which is a severe allergic reaction. It can begin within minutes and progress rapidly or occur hours after exposure to the allergen. With the right training you can make a huge difference to someone’s recovery.

In health and social care settings it is important to have staff that know how to deal with anaphylaxis. There are different causes for different people ranging from foods, such as, peanuts, tree nuts, shellfish, and dairy products, to other causes including wasp and bee stings, latex, or some medicines.

We cover awareness of anaphylaxis, what it is, what happens, types of reaction, and what to do if someone is suffering from a reaction.
