Course Description:
Around 1 in 5 households in the UK have someone living with Asthma. This is approximately 5.4 million people. Of which 1.1 million are children and 4.3 million are adults. Around 1,000 people die each year, in the UK, from Asthma. When you consider that 75% of hospital admissions and 90% of deaths caused by Asthma are preventable, it shows there is a huge need for training.
This course will help you understand what Asthma is, its pathology and prevalence, genetic characteristics, triggers, and treatment and management of the condition.

Maintain pulmonary function as close to normal levels as possible
Prevent asthma exacerbations

Prevent asthma mortality.
At the end of the training session, there is a written assessment to evidence the learning of the attendees.
