Football Against Dementia has organised and delivered charity football games, a 5-a-side tournament and a series of get togethers for ex-players, supporters and club officials.
Already planned for 2025 are 3 more games, 2 golf tournaments, a half marathon run, and a charity dinner.
Engaging and collaborating with the business community is on ongoing opportunity as is taking the F.A.D. message into junior football clubs and schools.
Reaching out to other dementia-friendly groups and organisations is now proving to be a success, with invites coming in on a regular basis for F.A.D. to share what we are all about.
The aim is to is to be the ‘go-to’ community for those and their families affected by dementia by providing support, resources and awareness, by harnessing the power of sport.
